First snow in 26 years!!!!! Such a big event on Wednesday – everyone was gob smacked. It never snows in Johannesburg and it did this week. I even remember the snow in 1981, we played in it all day and then packed the snow in Tupperware and put it in the freezer for the next day. Who would ever think that Kailey’s first snow would be in Africa!
Needless to say it did not last very long – but it was still fun!

Cool pictures Hun!
Wow... so many firsts for Kailey there in South Africa. First snow, first piano lesson, first real food, first stamp in her passport... and the list will keep on growing.
Love you both. See you in December!

So, is it winter in SA or was that a super freaky summertime event? :-) Great photos, though. Crazy! Too bad Kai isn't old enough to appreciate the snow yet.

WHAT??? SNOW??? Are you in winter now or is it a total crazy global warming activity? LOL!
You look fabulous and Kai is starting to look like her own little person. She is just too adorable.
We're reserving a playdate here in January for when you guys get back.

I hate everyone who will be in Fayetteville in January. I hate you all. :-(
Jo and Deric,
Congrats on Kailey! I have been off of my AKO email for the past year and just saw the news. Sarah and I just got married and Mikey B, Zeeman, Trip, Brendan Dignan, Carrie Lambert, and others were there on June 16th. We bought a place in DC and I'm doing consulting for the Army National Guard G1. I also just joined the Virginia National Guard as an OCS instructor. Deric, we mentioned you and all the fellas deployed in a prayer during the wedding, so you were missed but not forgotten!
Take care,
Tom Klump
hey you three wacky kids, these pictures are great! We can't wait to see you all real soon. It's so nice to be able to share in all your adventures. Thanks for working to keep the site updated. Best wishes, and lots of love for you all :o)
